Personal Logo Design

For this project my class was instructed to create a logo for ourselves in order to brand ourselves for freelance work. When creating the design I didn't want to just pick a name that just had my name or last name in it (not that there's anything wrong with that) so I spent a good while coming up with a name. After awhile of thinking I was listening to ghost stories while working and it made me think of a word often used when talking about ghost encounters, Pareidolia. If you don't know, pareidolia can best be described as when you your mind plays tricks on you and you make out something like a face or a figure in unclear view. Think of when you were a kid and would see faces and figures in the dark hallway at night or when you swore you thought you saw a man in the woods but it's just trees! I felt this name would be unique to me and just in general so from there I started and I figured a great idea for the logo itself would be to place a face hidden within shapes!

When coming up with the logo itself you can see that I had a few general ideas that I was working with. I knew going into this project I wanted it to have a very early 2000s/late 90's cyber feel. Maybe it's due to the fact that I grow up with that kind of imagery but something about it has always been so visually appealing to me since I can remember!
